History

Since 2006,Savola Group- (the Founder of Savola World Foundation), has adopted many CSR programs and initiatives, with the aim of supporting local communities and the social development in different fields.

Later in March 2017, the Group had re-launched its social responsibility and sustainability programs under a consolidated strategy and platform called “Savola World”.

Savola World aimed at creating value by promoting socially and environmentally responsible practices. It also worked on developing strong partnerships to promote socially responsible behavioral change across the sustainability pillars including community, employees, environment, sector and business activities. Savola World is considered a major player in sustainability in the MENAT region.

Over the years, we have published our CSR & sustainability updates through an annual sustainability report, prepared in accordance to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), as well as through a dedicated section on the Group’s annual report. These disclosures and updates are also published through Savola World website and a special CSR section within the Savola Group website.

At the end of 2019, Savola Group - and in line with the global development in corporate foundations - has formalized the importance of sustainability and social responsibility by transforming Savola World from being a CSR department at its HQ, into a non-profit foundation, under the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, "and it is called now "Savola World Foundation,“ which has a unique opportunity to make even a greater impact and contribution within the community in which it operates.
