Savola World Foundation is a Non-profit Organization by virtue of the Associations and Non-profit Organizations Law issued by the Council of Ministers Resolution No. (61) dated 18/02/ 1437H and its executive by-laws issued by Ministerial Resolution No. (73739) dated 11/06/1437H. The Foundation’s head office is located in Jeddah, with a scope of work covering all regions of Saudi Arabia, and the Foundation is a legal entity represented by the Board of Trustees in accordance with the Foundation’s Articles of Association as approved by the competent authorities.

"Savola World Foundation" was established on October 28, 2019 by "Savola Group" pursuant to the license No. (1007). The foundation currently operates under the supervision of the National Center for Non-Profit Sector, and it has previously worked under the supervision of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, since its establishment until the end of 31st of December 2022.
  • Savola World Foundation was established to give more focus on the sustainability & CSR goals. It started working with an executive management supervised by a Board of Trustees, which the foundation implements its directives. The membership of the Board of Trustees continues for a period of four years. We take into account the best local and international practices in the field of non-profit organizations and corporate foundations.
  • The new legal status empowers Savola World Foundation to seek funding and form partnerships with government and private sector entities. This status enables the Foundation to champion more effectively the sustainability and social development objectives of the Saudi Arabia Vision 2030. The Foundations is funded by Savola Group (the Founder) to support the development and implementation of its CSR & suitability activities.
  • Savola World Foundation works according to a vision and a strategic approach aimed at achieving an effective contribution to the CSR & sustainability field. The Foundation will work to accelerate the pace of implementation of the targeted strategy. It will also work to bring about positive change by building effective partnerships, programs and initiatives in the same field with strategic partners. The Foundation conducts social awareness campaigns, provides training, provides consultancy, manages events, conducts research and studies. The foundation works side by side with qualified experts, in order to maximize the impact of its programs and initiatives on the target segments of community.
1 - The foundation aims to achieve the following, - and without seeking any financial profit -:
  • Develop social responsibility concept amongst individuals and institutions.
  • Contribute to measuring the developmental impact of social responsibility programs.
  • Encourage the private sector to adopt social responsibility.
  • Build bridges between the three sectors to enhance social responsibility.
2 - The foundation can carry out one or more activities outside the above mentioned objectives, - after obtaining the necessary approvals-

  • As part of the Savola World Foundation's strategic planning methodology, we conducted research and analysis in order to identify priorities in the area of ​​sustainable development.
  • The research methodology included in-depth interviews with key stakeholders and the development or strategic positioning matrix, which aims to identify areas of work that intersect between community needs and the capabilities and position of the foundation. This procedure helped in selecting the fields of work most in need while capitalizing on its potential as much as possible. ​we developed a list of criteria to evaluate and select the new focus areas and development fields.

    Our strategic direction takes into consideration international frameworks and global initiatives and we have aligned our sustainability strategy with the SDGs.

    In line with the Saudi national agenda, Savola’s growth strategy is focusing on sustainability performance, directly benefiting the Kingdom’s socioeconomic development and reflecting the country’s strengths and capabilities.
    The foundation will focus on three causes, that can be linked to a number of SDG goals:
    Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
    Goal 8: Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all
    Goal 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation
    Goal 6: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all
    Goal 7: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all
    Goal 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
Introduction:
Savola World Foundation is dedicated to creating a lasting positive impact on society through its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. The foundation's innovative programs and initiatives have been recognized both locally and globally, through earning awards that highlight its pivotal role in advancing sustainable practices and community development.

In addition to the foundation's achievements, these programs have contributed to Savola Group's notable recognition in sustainability, securing prestigious awards that presents the Group's commitment to social responsibility practices.

Notably, prior to the establishment of Savola World Foundation, the Sustainability Management Department at Savola Group developed the groundwork for this success, by earning distinguished awards as well.
